What to see and do

Alsace is renowned for the excellence of its food and wine and the splendour of its countryside. Take time off from the greens and enjoy what the region has to offer.

Alsace wines

The Alsace wine route is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2013. The route stretches 170 km from Thann, in the south, to Marlenheim in the north of the region. It is a fantastic way of exploring the region, admiring the spectacular scenery and sampling delicious wines in picture-postcard villages.
Golf d'Ammerschwihr has selected a number of nearby wine producers who will be delighted to offer you a tasting.

Colmar

Colmar is a town with a splendid historical centre and many outstandingly preserved old buildings. Many parts of the town are closed to cars and you can stroll around and enjoy the surroundings in peace and quiet.

Haut- Koenigsbourg

The best-known castle in Alsace, Haut-Koenigsbourg has been lovingly restored and contains remarkable collections of 15th and 17th century furniture and arms.

Monkey Mountain and the Eagle Sanctuary

Monkey Mountain offers a unique occasion to walk among 200 free-roaming monkeys, in 20 ha of spectacular forest land.
Enjoy a different kind of experience at the Eagle Sanctuary, where you can see the spectacular aerobatics of these giant birds.

Écomusée d'Alsace

The Écomusée is the history of Alsace through 70 ancient buildings. Come along and explore France's largest open air museum, for an unforgettable trip back in time.
